Scapegoats 'R' Us

If tradition holds in Alberto Gonzalez's Justice Department, then now that Elston has resigned we will suddenly hear that "it was all Elston's decision" to fire those attorneys, right?  Or do we think that Gonzalez et al. are realizing that the public and media are finally becoming wise to their blame-the-guy-who-just-left strategy?

For my money, I'm expecting to hear that it was actually all Mike Elston's idea and they just forgot to tell us for the last six months.  Let me be wrong.  Meanwhile, it's past time for impeachment of the attorney general.
